rrOut of 89 candidates, Shamcey was handpicked together with three other candidates - Zilin Luo (Miss China), Vanessa Goncalves (Miss Venezuela) and Priscila Machado (Miss Brazil) - to join reigning Miss Universe Ximena Navarette as an Ambassador for Operation Smile.rrAccording to Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc., the ladies met at Sao Paolo Hospital three patients aged 6 months, 6 and 14 years old, who were scheduled for a free cleft lip surgery.rrThe visit was part of the Miss Universe pageant’s lineup of charity programs and activities in 2011.rrOperation Smile was founded by Dr. Bill and Kathy Magee in 1982, having been inspired by their cleft repair mission in the Philippines.
